viewing this site: all media is linked within this prose here. the lost art of text and the dominance of media has created a vacuum of identity and an audience disconnection. so hopefully, in this little corner of the internet, we can let text navigate us to whatever subsequent representation is relevant to showcase as a portfolio.
long story short, this is a portfolio as much as a gallery is a store. of course, it’s all for sale. but for a moment, let’s pretend it isn’t. and, take a gander at the little plaquards that herald a perspective. then let’s go to red lobster, they do a crab boil
i was born in south korea, raised between the us and singapore. that upbringing of contexts informs my work, informs both the duality of the lived experience expressed amongst my writings and film, but also the spiritual and philosophical wonderings and questions that drive my desire to create. creation and art, is a communical longing, a group effort reflecting humanity, a yearning towards catharsis. for me, catharsis is at the center of all works. the temporal, the quiet, the confronting, the beautiful.
MAYBE A PORTFOLIO
my work consists of multimodal projects, currently i am in development onTHE POETRY OF COLORS AND FORMS. I am also in post production on my debut independant feature film CUL DE SAC (2027) this was shot, produced and edited in the midwest. with a tight knit crew of an intention to tell a story and to create under our own rules. as an independently financed venture, this project was made possible through tight knit community collaboration, generous artistic co-conspirators and loving families and friends.
some other work of mine i’ve been interested in lately, is a still evolving series of engagements around the concept of heavy and grew into an installation pop-up gallery exhibit titled HEAVIEST, HEAVIEST, HEAVIEST. (2026) pushing the idea further into an exploration of weight, center and audience. creating a one-night only interaction between the works, the audience, the space. with curated sonic synth elements, a large sphere and an projected event-horizon. This event was followed by ATMOSPHERES (2026) a one-night deconstruction event where the audience was asked to participate in the destruction.
TOMORROW (2026) is an inverted automobile sculpture, resting in a public urban square for 22 days as a part of ArtPrize 2026 in Grand Rapids, MI.

Seejon Czaplicki is a film director, creative and artist currently based in Los Angeles and splitting time between cities.
Born in South Korea and raised between the American Midwest and Singapore, Seejon’s work focuses on contemplation and inspirations drawn from his many contextual experiences: his questions of self, fondness for small towns, ideological dichotomies and urging to represent the duality of the human experience.
With extensive experience directing and producing at all scales, from small teams to large crews, Seejon deeply understands all facets of production, with a focus on creative operations and leadership.
He also heads up system of objects and is working on his first feature film CUL DE SAC to be produced in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
